Kristen Berg joined the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) in 2023. As a Senior Sanctions Compliance Officer in OFAC’s Compliance division, Kristen works with a dynamic team responsible for implementing U.S. economic sanctions through dedicated outreach and public and private sector engagement. She routinely advises financial institutions and other organizations from around the world on OFAC sanctions compliance and implementation issues and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars about how to comply with OFAC sanctions. Prior to joining OFAC, Kristen spent several years working in the financial services industry in a variety of roles including commercial real estate lending and investment, private wealth management, and fintech compliance.
